There are a few little apps on my Mac that I really don't want to live without. They may not fit everyone's MUST HAVE list, but they get me through my day with ease. I challenge you to try them all and let me know if you love them as much as I do.

In Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard you can get detailed connection info at the click of a mouse button.

1. Hold down OPTION and click on you AIRPORT icon in the menu bar.

It provides you with your Airport card's MAC Address, channel, RSSI (signal strength), and the Transmit Rate at which it is connected to your router.

Very handy for troubleshooting!!

BONUS TIP: Try this on your Bluetooth Icon.


News: Apple USB Ultracompact Adapter Exchange Program

165904-adapter-views2.pngApple has announced that under certain conditions, the metal prongs on the adapter can break off and remain in the power outlet... creating a risk of electrical shock.

If your adapter has a green dot on it, it is not affected.

The ultracompact USB power adapters were supplied with every iPhone 3G sold in the following countries, and may also have been purchased separately as an accessory:

US
Japan
Canada
Mexico
Several Latin American countries (click here for a detailed list of countries)

Note: Apple USB power adapters supplied with original iPhones or supplied with iPhone 3G units sold in other countries are not affected.
